Centrally located to avoid extensive transporting and to minimise student

travel distance

Close to libraries, parks, museums, and other community services

Favourable orientation to wind and natural light



Public Acceptance


Broad public acceptance of the proposed site



Receptivity of borough planning department

Coordination of proposed school with future community plans



Environment


Suitable for the delivery of high educational standards



Free from sources of noise that may impede the education

Free from air, water and soil pollution

Free from smoke, dust and odours

Provides aesthetic view from and of the site

Compatible with the educational program



Safety and Accessibility

Adjacent to or near roadways with a high volume of traffic

No crossings on major streets, narrow or winding streets, heavy traffic

patterns

No Access for bus transportation

No routing patterns for foot traffic

Remote areas (with no pavements) where students walk to and from school
