Oakhurst Residents' Association prepares response to the Core Strategy

Apologies for the hiatus in posting updates on the blog; the ORA Committee have been hard at work preparing a detailed and technical response to Swindon Bororugh Council's new proposed Core Strategy.  Hopefully once the document has been completed, we'll be able to publish it here.

Swindon Borough Council have also extended the deadline for responses to the Core Strategy; their new deadline is now 18:00, Thursday 16th June 2011.  Details of the Core Strategy can be found here, there is an online response form available here, or you can email a response directly to forwardplanning@swindon.gov.uk.

SBC Proposed Core Strategy Consultation begins today

The emerging core strategy sets out the Borough’s future development principles from now until 2026.  ORA understands that 19,000 homes will have to be built by this date.
Tadpole Farm is one of the sites identified for development.  The first consultations will be held today and tomorrow at the Central Library from 10am to 5pm.
