ORA have received this invitation to a public meeting about Tadpole Farm.
Dear
Sir/Madam
Public Meeting to
discuss the Tadpole Farm Development
I would like to invite you to a
public meeting I have organised to discuss what actions North Swindon residents
and community groups would like the Council and developer to take to mitigate
the impact of the Tadpole Farm development. This public meeting will take place
at Moredon Community Centre on Tuesday,17th July 2012, starting at 7pm.
Based on the views expressed to me
by North Swindon residents at this meeting, I will be submitting a list of local
residents’ priorities to the Ward Councillors in the North
Swindon locality. These Councillors are currently in the process of
negotiating with the Tadpole Farm developer, Crest Nicholson, a package of
mitigations for the Tadpole Farm development, but have failed to consult with
the local community on what concessions they would like from this development.
Having attended the Planning
Committee where the outline planning application for the Tadpole Farm
development was granted (pending negotiations between Ward Councillors and the
housing developer) I know the strength of feeling from North Swindon residents
about how this development was agreed. In particular, I think North Swindon residents feel aggrieved that they have not
been properly consulted by the Council or by the developer on what they want
from the Tadpole Farm development. That is why I have organised this meeting, to
ensure your voice is heard and heard clearly by the Council, your local
Councillors and the developer.
I sincerely hope you will be able to
attend this meeting.
Yours Sincerely,
Councillor Jim
Grant
Swindon Labour Group Leader
