Gamekeeper or Poacher?

It appears that schools in South Swindon are hawking for children from the North to fill their empty spaces in Old Town.

What sort of council would allow such a thing to happen?

It bodes ill for future school place planning in Swindon.

Here is some information:

Primary school reception admission applications for September 2013 closed in Mid January 2013.

The White Horse Federation (WHF) website shows that they will know the number of applications to their schools on February 22nd 2013.

Applications for the 5 Old Town primary schools will now be clear.

The Croft ( a WHF school) were advertising for Pupils in December 2012.

Applications for the 8 North Swindon primary schools will now be clear.

Did Oakhurst or Redhouse or any of the other 6 schools in North Swindon have to advertise?

So... what will the admissions applications data say?
